FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
As a collective SWIC members have learned what organisations in the collective deliver/help in delivering more specialist support. Collaborating especially around funding support has helped projects that have been dormant for years, become active and begin implementation.
What type of funding is available?
- Updated with the latest funding information about current and previous schemes
- Grant funding for demonstration – X% of Capital costs towards project within scope – Aimed at high TRL (7+)
- e.g. IETF deployment, IHA Stream 2B, Industrial fuel switch – All now closed
- Study funding – X% of project costs towards feasibility and engineering studies – Aimed at medium TRL (4-7)
- e.g. IETF Studies, IHA Stream 2A – All now closed
- R&D funding – X% of project costs towards the development of a certain technology – Aimed at low TRL (1-4)

Support in getting funding
- Understanding the project & business strategy to shape towards appropriate funding opportunity.
- Support in bid writing process to produce a successful application.
- Shape the project to tackle challenges in explaining the benefits of the project and value for money
- Post-success support through monitoring and regular reporting to financial provider
- Step beyond funding to support the implementation of the equipment to ensure effective project output.
